BASKETBALL TOURNAMENT: Annual event, boy and girl teams, trophies, shirts, food. Can be a participant or helper.

BAZAAR SET UP AND CLEAN UP: Help set up before and/or pack & clean up after Social Ministry Christmas Bazaar.

CEMETERY HELP: Volunteer to help the men of the SSPP Cemetery Committee to make it look its best.

CHARITY WALKS: HOSPICE, DIABETES, KYLE REID, MERCY FLIGHT or any other Walks.

CHICKEN BAR-B-Q: Help serve, clean up, sell tickets, etc. at annual BBQ. Two shifts: 11:00 am - 3:15 pm and 3:00 - 7:00 pm. Also clean-up starting at 6:00 pm. Proceeds to Social Ministry & Youth Group.

CHILI KNIGHTS: Help serve, clean up or whatever at Chili Dinner service at the Hamburg K of C with proceeds going to St. Luke's Mission.

CHRISTMAS IN JULY: Christmas party with gifts brought for the Franciscan Center for Boys.

CHURCH CLEANING: Help wash down pews, etc. in preparation for Easter Sunday.

CHURCH GROUNDS HELP: Assist Building & Grounds Committee in helping make the grounds around our parish buildings more presentable (spreading mulch, etc.) Wheelbarrows, shovels, rakes & brooms are needed, so bring some with you if you can - see Mr. Straub for a signature.

CROP WALK: Fall walk through the Village of Hamburg, to support the hungry of our area and around the globe. Get your own sponsors.

EUCHARISTIC YOUTH RALLY: St. Mary of the Angels Church in Olean and is for 7th - 12th graders. All churches in the Diocese are invited. The cost is $25.00 and includes all your meals & a big snack-out at midnight. If money is an issue, youth group will help defray the cost.

DIOCESAN YOUTH CONVENTION: Week-end in Feb., for high school students, run by the Diocesan Youth Dept. Adam's Mark Hotel, workshops, coffee shop, praise & worship, semi-formal dance,
etc. with thousands of other teens. Cost is $154 but Youth Group will pay half from our fundraisers, so your part will be $75.

FATHERS DAY CARNATION SALE: Help sell carnations & pass out Fathers Day Cards after Masses - Youth Group fundraiser.

FRIENDS of NIGHT PEOPLE: Cooking, serving & cleaning up at center.

HALLOWEEN PARTY: Costume party with games, food and fun at SSPP. Social event for 7th-9th. 10th grade and up earn service hours for helping before, during and after the event.

KINGDOM BOUND: Tent camping, shared meals, concerts, bonfires,theme park (Darien Lake), prayer tents, and much more.

LECTORS: Lectors proclaim the Word of God from Scripture and lead the congregation in the Prayer of the Faithful at Mass.

LIFE CHAIN: on Niagara Falls Blvd. - Join other teens, families and parishioners from our parish & the Diocese on this peaceful chain for "LIFE." Check insert in bulletin for times, etc.

LIVING STATIONS: Enactment of the way of the cross with narrators and student actors. No speaking parts.

LOCK-IN: Annual Christmas gift giving party to benefit teens at St. Luke's Mission. Overnight in SSPP gym.

MARCH for LIFE MARCH: Washington, DC. Take bus to DC to walk in peaceful march dedicated to end the Roe vs. Wade decision, etc. Overnight.

MAY CROWNING: Either at SSPP or at St. Joseph's Cathedral.

MOTHERS DAY GERANIUM SALE: Help sell flowers after Masses - Youth Group fundraiser. Please call to schedule a Mass. Help also needed on Saturday to put foil on the plants & set up the church for the
sale.

NAZARETH FARM: Appalacian work week at Catholic farm in West Virginia. Must be 16 or going into 11th grade. (August)

OPEN GYM: 7 - 10:00 pm on Fridays (& sometimes Saturdays) during the school year.
7th - 9th grade- earn 1 hour S.O.S. no sign-up ahead of time required.
10th grade up - earn service hours for helping before, during and after - please sign-up with Youth Office before event!

PARISH VOLUNTEER PARTY: Help clear tables and take out trash.

POINSETTIA SALE
: (Youth Group fundraiser). Help sell plants and help with distribution in December (at SSPP).

POSTAL FOOD DRIVE: Volunteer at SSPP Outreach help unload mail trucks & sort food

PRO-LIFE & YOUTH FOR LIFE NIGHT OF PRAYER

PRO-LIFE SUNDAY - week-end of Sept. 30th and Oct. 1st.  Sell roses after all the Masses for Pro-Life. Call to sign up.

RELAY for LIFE: Get sponsors and walk with our team during the overnight Relay in June. Proceeds to American Cancer Society. NEW PLACE: Frontier High School. Everyone - Adults, teens, family members, friends - Welcome!

RESPONSE to LOVE CENTER: Help in various capacities - i.e. serve lunch, sort toys, clean, sort food, etc.

S.A.B.A.H. GROUP VOLUNTEERS: Nike Base Rink. Skating Association of the Blind and Handicapped needs student volunteers to help with their skating program on Saturday mornings from 9:45 - 11:00 am.  If you are a skater, you can be out on the ice assisting the handicapped with their skating; if you don't know how or don't want to skate - they need teens to help cheer the skaters on if they're reluctant, to tie skates, help put on helmets, etc. Some are kids and some are adults, and there are various disabilities - both physical and mental. If you don't wish to, or can't volunteer every week, you can do it every other week or once a month. Even if the rink is not for you they always need help with mailings, etc and it could be a great opportunity for you to help out. If Interested, contact the Youth Office and Mrs. C. will have the person in charge contact you.

ST. LUKE'S MISSION OF MERCY - A Roman Catholic Mission in the inner city of Buffalo, New York that serves the poor and broken.


SANTA'S BREAKFAST (Hamburgh Holidays): Help Hamburg Holidays - serving, helping with crafts and/or be a Santa helper.
8:30 am - 11:30 am, Hamburg Legion Hall

SANTA PARADE: Represent SSPP Youth Group marching in the annual Hamburg Holidays parade.

SHRINE CIRCUS: Volunteer to help seat people or wherever needed.

SNOW ANGELS: Sign up with Village of Hamburg to be matched up with individual(s) who need help shoveling their walk.

SOUPER BOWL SUNDAY: Collect $1.00 from parishioners as they leave church on Super Bowl Week-end to give to Outreach to buy food for those less fortunate.

STEUBENVILLE YOUTH CONFERENCE: High School students, week-end in July, Franciscan University in Steubenville, Ohio. Retreat week-end with teens from across the country, includes workshops, liturgies, guest speaker & music, etc.

TOWN & VILLAGE CLEAN UPS: Help picking up trash, etc.

WNED: Volunteer telephone donation takers, TV Auction, give tours, etc.

PLEASE NOTE: Up to 50% of S.O.S. hours can be performed outside of our parish (such scouts, community/civic projects, etc.).
