Mission Statement

"SS. Peter & Paul Parish is a Eucharistic Community dedicated to Jesus Christ's Gospel message. Inspired by the Holy Spirit, we call forth the gifts and talents of our members to strengthen the universal Body of Christ through prayer, worship and service. We invite all to join us on this journey."

Vision Statement

Our vision that our ministries look to follow

"From SS. Peter & Paul Parish's humble beginnings in 1844, our family in faith continues to preserve and honor the past, value the present and shape young disciples for a vibrant future for our community. We strive to evangelize and strengthen the universal Body of Christ through worship, prayer and service so that one day, we will be joined together forever in God's Heavenly Kingdom."

Catholics Come Home

Pass the Chalice:
This chalice pass is an awesome way to bring families together for prayer and at the same time bring an awareness of the need of vocations to the priesthood. Those families wishing to share in this great experience, may sign up near the Baptismal font near the Main St. door.  Please leave your first & last name for the week you will be receiving the Chalice.

This is the process by which people become members of the Roman Catholic Church. It is a conversion journey concerned with the total formation of the individual and the believing Church community. This journey includes a team and sponsors who, acting as representatives of the larger Church community, accompany the candidate through the various stages of the Rite. The process culminates with the celebration of the sacraments of Baptism, Confirmation and Eucharist at the Easter Vigil. Contact the rectory to sign-up

Baptisms: The Sacrament of Baptism is celebrated each Sunday at 1:30 p.m. Pre-Baptismal instruction for parents is conducted on the fourth Monday of every month at 7 p.m. in the Parish Center. Attendance at the Pre-Baptismal class is mandatory for first time parents. Contact the rectory for an appointment.

Sacrament of the Sick: Please inform the parish priests about parishioners confined to their homes, hospitals, or nursing facilities. The Sacrament of Anointing of the Sick and the Eucharist are meant for the healing and comfort of those who are ill.

Letters of Reccomendation: Letter of Recommendation—IMPORTANT: Recommendations to act as Sponsors of Baptism or Confirmation are issued to registered parishioners who are attending Mass and received Holy Communion regularly, have their children attending a Catholic school or Religious Education class, if married, have entered a ceremony performed in conformity with the regulations of the Catholic Church.  Church Law requires that a Sponsor for Baptism or Confirmation be confirmed and we are not permitted to make exceptions to this rule.

Sacrament of Reconciliation (Confession): Saturday from 1:00 - 2:00 p.m. Confessions are also heard by appointment, in the rectory. Please call 649-2765 to ask when a priest is available.

Marriages: You must be an active parishioner for at least six months prior to setting a date. Engaged couples should contact one of the parish priests before making other wedding arrangements. Couples are required to attend a Pre-Cana Conference, or equivalent pre-marital preparation program. Please call 649-2765 to schedule arrangements with one of the priests.

Parish Outreach: Outreach is located at 36 Pine Street. Our Parish Outreach services are available Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Social services are provided for those in need.
